Are you struggling to gain muscle as a skinny guy? Me too. Therefore I have taken it upon myself to change! In this week alone, through various practices that I will discuss in this article, will have you one step closer to the muscular person you would want to become 💪. This week alone I have gained 5lbs, and unlike other fitness gurus I am documenting my path to greatness through these blogs, what sticks with me and what doesn’t. Therefore I am a credible source haha.
Practical Strategies
- Having a proper workout routine (2nd most important really)
- Have friends to motivate you (REALLY REALLY important aswell)
- Fix your diet (MOST IMPORTANT THING TO GAINING WEIGHT)
- Sleep (Will consolidate everything you did in the day and make you bigger)
- Reflection (not talked about but very very important!)
Proper Workout for Muscle Gain Skinny Guys
Fear not skinny guys! I am here to help you 🙂, in order to get slim to jacked, you must jack up our muscles. It can really be any of the days of the week; I personally recommend working out 4 days but I seen people work out 3 days and some workout 6 days. However keep in mind that you shouldn’t be doing weight training for the whole week because you need your muscles to rest after lifting heavy. Lastly it can be morning or night, it doesn’t matter when, it matters that it gets done. Just focus on the basics on Youtube, don’t overcomplicate it. Just make sure you work out hard every major and minor muscle group!
Fix Your Diet
Don’t Not, Not do this. Easily the most important thing you have to focus on. Its hard to change trust me, I am going for 3,000 calories also aiming for 1lb (pound) of protein per 1lb of weight. Say you weigh 135lbs, that means you need to eat roughly 135lb of protein. It is a good basis to go by. Eating enough food is fuel, our bodies are like cars. Have your car ever ran without gas? Probably not. The same goes with our diet. The more food you have the more energy you’ll have for the rest of today. Just stick to a high calorie diet for skinny guys, that’ll really just be 300-500 more calories than you expend in a day. Check your BMR calculator if you want to find out how much calories you expend in a day (also remember to put in your activites you’ve done for the day)
Sleep
Just sleep 7-9 hours lol. You’ll feel a ton better.
Have friends to help you
Friends are not foes, they help you! Have someone else keep you accountable, I personally have a friend who I workout with and confide my problems in. Having a friend would also make you super excited to know that someone with the same goal/passion are working together and combining minds. You’ll love it when someone else is there, especially if that someone else cares about you. Help defeat being skinny altogether by making sure your skinny guy workout plan includes a friend!
Reflection:
Make sure you reflect every week, even better every day. Reflection is a super strong tool we have, that really we all can do. Note or pencil, even a phone could work. Document what you’ve done for today, but also what you messed up failed. For instance, if you failed having not eaten enough say what was wrong but then come up with certain solutions for your problem! Remember everything is a process, and what comes with a process? well it takes time for processes to work. If you truly want to kiss the skinny genetics goodbye and overcome them then reflection is the way to go.
Conclusion:
You have a really long and hard road ahead of you. Many times you would want to quit, would want to fall and fail. I just want you to know that its okay to feel this, instead use this as motivation. I hope my ideas has inspired/helped you into not becoming skinny, and actually doing something about it. Once we master how to respect our bodies, more people would start to express respect for us as well. Remember to eat well, sleep well, have a good amount of friends, and to reflect in order to grow. I love you all.
